Hi!
Boy is it awesome to be outside, everyone is so nice here! I arrived at 2:29am on August 22nd and the doctors say that I'm 6 pounds, 11 ounces. I don't know what any of that means but it sounds important. Mommie and I are pretty tired right now, so we're going to get some rest. Daddie says you are all excited to meet me — I can't wait to see you all.
Love,
Alyson Maya Sayre
Hi Alyson,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world. You're very lucky to have such awesome parents. Can't wait to meet you.
Love and xoxoxo

Wow! It so wonderful to finally get to meet you Alyson. If you love your mommy and daddy on the inside, you are really going to live them on the outside. Take it all in one breath at a time beautiful one, you're just starting to a journey to discover an amazing new world and couldn't have better tour guides.
ReplyDeleteMuch love
Jeff
Congratulations on making the tough journey to join us! Welcome...we can't wait to meet you and Griffin is very excited to have a new cousin. You are very lucky as you have awesome parents who will take such great care of you!
ReplyDeleteOh, Alyson, you're here! Good thinking, to choose your own moment to arrive, and not rely on others' ideas of what you should do and when. That's a trait I hope you'll cultivate throughout your life--within reason, of course!
ReplyDeleteYour Mommy and Daddy have been waiting so patiently for you. They've been working hard to make a beautiful and comfortable space for you to come home to. You're going to love it--there are lots of elephants, and they're NOT ALL PINK! Not that there's anything wrong with pink; it's just good to step outside other people's expectations sometimes. And anyway, there are so many pretty colors and patterns in the world, why limit yourself?
You have, by the way, really lucked out in the Parent Lottery. Yours are smart and funny and curious and loving. They'll be excellent guides, teachers and companions on your adventures through life. You've also got lots of additional supporters who already love you so much: grandparents and great-grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins, and so many other friends who can't wait to hold you and tell you things and watch you grow and discover the world.
Soon you'll be going home to your nice, cozy apartment and your very own crib. Be sure to get lots of rest now, and try to get your parents to sleep too. You've all earned it, after the hard work you've just completed!
We so look forward to lots of pictures and videos, and can't wait to meet you. Until then, know how much we love you all.
Huge (but gentle) hugs and kisses,
Alice and Steve
